- The right to inspect and review their educational records.

FERPA and parent’s access to their student’s Education Records:

What are Education Records?

What are not Education Records?

What is Directory Information?

- enrollment status and credit hour load
- dates of attendance
- classification
- receipt or non-receipt of a degree
- academic awards received (dean’s list, honors students)
- participation in officially recognized activities
- photographs
- position, weight and height of athletes

What rights do students have under FERPA?

What is a Legitimate Educational Interest?

Public posting of grades

Letters of Recommendation

Exceptions to FERPA Non-Release Regulations:
- Health and Safety
